Sub-Saharan
Africa
Yves is the founder of PKM Africa and has many years' experience working in international law firms dealing with high profile transactions in many countries throughout Sub-Sahara Africa.
In co-operating with PKM, Yves is now fully dedicated to this practice and PKM has created a hub for him in Africa.
This is very valuable for gaining more expertise regarding how matters are handled and further developing the skills to bring projects to a successful close.
ABOUT US
Pierre and Yves decided to join forces and combine their skills and expertise many years ago. Pierre runs PKM in Lumbumbashi and is member of the Bar of Haut-Katanga/Lubumbashi and Yves runs PKM Africa in Brussels and is member of the Dutch speaking Bar of Brussels. It are two separate legal entities but bound by a partnership agreement.
Realising this without actually being in the same structure was not evident at first. Therefore both took the decision to work truly side by side in the interests of their clients.
In some ways, both started with a 'clean sheet' to create a truly modern, dynamic and high-performing team of lawyers. This meant leaving the comfort-zone of how law firms usually operate and moving towards a new model of professional service.
Both believe that the legal profession must evolve to take into account today's changing world, dynamic use of technology and, above all, the changing legal support needs of businesses and individuals.
